Introduction and Purpose: Open tibia fracture is a common orthopedic emergency, requiring management with adequate surgical debridement, stabilization, the administration of intravenous antibiotics to ensure good outcome. They are more prone for non-union due poor soft-tissue coverage, blood supply increased risk post-operative infection. The 6-hour golden rule debridement has been norm, despite lacking strong evidence support it. COVID -19 pandemic challenged this age-old dictum resource constraints. Early may preclude testing pose unjustified risks patient hospital staff. Delayed surgery in these times might be pragmatic approach.Aim: primary focus study was analyse outcomes open tibial fractures at 5months post-operatively respect infection union.Material Methods: Study designed as prospective cohort convenience sampling during period 54 days lockdown starting from 25 March 2020 tertiary care trauma centre Kerala, India. All patients were managed advanced Life Support (ATLS) protocol. Intravenous administered within 6 hours. Adequate low pressure irrigation done after (TRU-NAT/CB-NAAT/RTPCR) per protocol.Results: Of total two hundred forty four patients, thirty satisfying inclusion criteria unilateral considered. Average time 5hr 52min + 2hr 58min. Majority being brought referral center 12 Four (13 %) hours but 3 incident. had deep nonunion end 5 months. Those debrided
